SITAD INTRODUCTORY OFFER
Many companies have cupboards, rooms and even basements filling up with redundant IT equipment. This equipment shouldn’t just be thrown away with the rubbish as it could contain important or sensitive information which needs to be securely destroyed whilst companies have a legal obligation to ensure that certain products are disposed of in accordance with the WEEE directive and in line with any applicable Data Protection requirements.
To help companies satisfy their compliance obligations Iron Mountain is running an introductory offer on its Secure IT Asset Destruction Service (“SITAD Services”) enabling companies to securely dispose of up to 100 IT assets for a fixed fee of £1000.  Typically this will equate to a saving in the region of £500.

THE OFFER


Every offer has its limitations and caveats, this one’s are:
  • All items must be classified by Iron Mountain as IT equipment (clever toasters, microwaves, fridges etc. don’t qualify). Non IT equipment will not be collected and will not be considered part of the volume eligible for destruction as part of this offer.
  • The aggregate weight of the equipment to be collected as part of this offer must not exceed 800kg with no single item weighing more than 25kg. Items in excess of these weights will not be collected and will not be considered part of the volume eligible for destruction as part of this offer.
  • All items must collectively be less than 5m3 in volume. Any items in excess of this volume will not be collected by Iron Mountain.
  • All items must be together and ready for collection from a single agreed location prior to the agreed collection time.
  • All equipment must be gathered in a single ground floor location. Access and egress to the equipment must be straightforward with no requirement for multiple trips in a lift or up/down staircases.
  • Equipment must not require dismantling, powering down or unplugging prior to collection.   Items which require any of these actions, or are not readily available for collection, will not be collected and will not be considered part of the volume eligible for destruction as part of this offer.
  • Batteries within the load must be undamaged and cannot gross more than 400kgs (E.G. UPSs)
  • Iron Mountain reserves the right to reject any request to benefit from this offer based upon the collection location of the IT equipment or any other reasonable grounds which it determines.
  • Any services provided by IM pursuant to this offer will be subject exclusively to Iron Mountain’s Terms and Conditions for the Supply of SITAD Services (available on request). Any terms proposed by a customer, whether part of a purchase order or otherwise, will be expressly rejected.


THE REWARD


Iron Mountain will securely and compliantly destroy up to 100 pieces of IT equipment for a fixed price of £1,000. The price will not be reduced, or pro-rated, if the number of assets to be destroyed is less than 100.
Collection of the IT equipment will be made at a mutually convenient time as agreed between the parties.
Iron Mountain will provide a detailed list of all IT equipment which it has collected for destruction within thirty (30) days of the date of collection.  The list will include details of the make, model and serial number of each piece of IT equipment collected.
Any data bearing assets will be securely transported using Iron Mountain’s secure fleet of vehicles to our processing facility and sanitized/destroyed.
A certificate of destruction / wiping to business level 6 standard will be available for each data bearing asset.
A certificate of disposal will be issued by Iron Mountain within [45] days of destruction of the IT equipment, stating the number and weight of items collected.
Any destructions carried out as part of this offer will be in accordance with all applicable environmental legislation.
